The iTero Element® Intraoral Scanner allows your dentist or orthodontist to provide you with enhanced dental care. It’s a digital imaging technology that scans your mouth and lets you see the results of your orthodontic treatment even before starting it.
How Does it Work?
The iTero® scanner eliminates the need for goopy impressions, making the process easier and more comfortable for patients.
Your dentist uses the iTero® wand to capture accurate images of your mouth. These images are then simultaneously transmitted to the computer monitor. The result is a 3D model of your mouth that can be viewed and adjusted in real-time.
Instead of waiting for the traditional mold to harden, your digital impressions can be sent to the dental lab right away via the internet. This reduces the time needed in producing your final restoration.
